I recently had a laugh with a product I bought from Amazon. The warranty card? It hilariously directed me to 'gamil.com' instead of 'gmail.com'! πŸ˜’ Yet? πŸ˜‚ I do this all the time myself.

Trust in the Digital World

This got me thinking about trust in our digital world. We all lean on giants like Apple, Google, or Microsoft with our data without a second thought. Big names, big trust, right? But what about the underdogs? πŸ€”

In my quest for the perfect digital tool to store notes, docs, and photos, I explored Notion, MS Loop, Joplin, Obsidian, and more. It took me ages to thoroughly vet each one. I finally settled on Standard Notes. A great find, with a strong community to boot.

Here's the thing – what if Standard Notes, or any similar app, had a typo like my warranty card? Would my trust in them waver? They didn't, to be clear, but it raises a question. Would I have ended up choosing them? Maybe, but I might have spent even longer digging deeper, just to be sure.
